This card was created in partnership with NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) to celebrate mothers and to encourage dads & sons to save lives this Mother's Day by signing up to donate blood. Blood transfusions are sometimes needed in childbirth and men’s blood is vitally important for blood transfusions in newborn babies and for blood transfusions inside the womb. This card was illustrated by Emma, aged 12. Her mum received 20 units of blood - those donations saved her life. 10% of card sales will be donated to mental health charity Mind. They provide a wealth of support and advice for Mothers - from simple breathing techniques to addressing pre and post natal mental health problems.
