Jen Rubino started Cards for Hospitalized Kids after her own experience in and out of hospitals as a young kid. On a particularly challenging stay, she received a handmade card from a hospital volunteer that really brightened her day. What started as a local effort has now sent more than 500,000 cards to children in hospitals across America.
